Semester Launch

We're glad you're interested in becoming a Small Group leader with Deer Creek Church!

Small Groups are an integral part of what we do as a church. We believe that sustained life change occurs as we are growing in a relationship with Jesus and one another.

Role of a Small Group Leader
Small Group leaders are responsible for providing their groups with vision, direction, and support. Leaders are successful when they are personally growing in their intimacy with God, community with insiders, and influence with outsiders (Or UP, IN, and OUT as we always seek to live at DCC) and are leading their groups in such a way as to encourage the group members' growth in these three relationships as well.

Each small group leader supported and resourced by an Elder who prays for them, guides the leader through difficult circumstances, and is committed to helping that leader personally be growing in his/her relationship with Jesus.

- Have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ observed as a member of Deer Creek Church
- Be a member of Deer Creek Church
- Have Small Group participation experience
- Have the time, emotional capacity, and moral/social discernment to lead a group

Prayer: Pray for your group members daily
Relationship: Proactively communicate with and get to know your members throughout the small group semester.
Growth: Help each group member to take one "next step" in his/her relationship with Jesus over the course of this semester.
