The Third Story (T3S) is a ministry to neighborhood kids in west Denver. The Third Story hosts school-year literacy programs, year-round Bible clubs twice a week, service opportunities for middle-school girls, a sack dinner program once a week and two hot meals a week. For over twenty-five years T3S has facilitated Bible clubs, tutoring, mentoring, music camp, and other opportunities for the children of west Denver. T3S' heart is to build relationships that strengthen kids and their communities.

Amy Beth is an urban partner of Deer Creek Church, running a small neighborhood ministry in Denver called The Third Story.  She works with a volunteer staff to provide purpose, opportunity and hope to the marginalized. Currently they implement Bible-based programs for children living in two adjoining west Denver neighborhoods. Their population is vibrant and diverse - a unique cross-cultural community, but parts of our neighborhood are often overlooked and struggle with limited options and poverty.

Third Story’s ministry consists of:
  • programs for youth – Street Church (year-round Bible clubs) and tutoring (literacy programs)
  • community ministry (helping families in their time of need, supplying resources and providing care for the marginalized)
  • coordinating a healthy meal program for our neighborhood youth
  • discipleship/mentoring relationships with adults who grew up in the Street Church program
  • raising up / training volunteers to work with at-risk youth
Prayer Requests from T3S:
  • Join us in praying for open doors here in our community – hearts open to the Gospel
  • Ask God to provide physical strength, emotional peace and mental clarity
  • We seek God’s wisdom and direction as we work with the older kids who continue to come to Street Church after they finish elementary school (especially pray for our group of middle-school girls who come to church on Wednesdays)
  • Remember our families who are struggling with the high cost of rent in Denver
  • Pray that God would keep our kids safe from accident and injury as we run programs at the church
  • Ask God to press on the hearts of fathers in our community so that they might lead their families in following God.  The biggest need – in every neighborhood – is the Gospel.
  • Finally, ask God to continue giving grace, opportunities and vision.
If you are looking for ways to serve or connect with T3S, please consider:
