SHIFT Student Ministries

Our ministry to 6th-12th grade students is called SHIFT Ministries – where we hope to see students make a shift in their understanding of their faith as something personal and powerful for their ever-changing lives.

We are a group of students and leaders who aren’t perfect and don’t pretend to be who are reaching up in worship, reaching in to build community, and reaching out to serve the world. It’s our hope that every student, no matter their background or beliefs, will come as they are to be a part of our community. And it’s our prayer that every single student will not leave how they came – that we are all being transformed through knowing and following Jesus. We’re learning how to do this together in community, and love having new students come and join us in this journey!

Youth Group

Both the middle-school (6th-8th grade) and high-school (9th-12 grade) groups meet from 6:30-8:30PM on Wednesday evenings in the downstairs youth area at DCC. We gather together for worship as a united community and then split for separate times of games, teaching, and discussion groups.

Community Nights

The last Wednesday of each month is a community night, where we spend the evening playing games as a community. These nights are from 6:30-8:30 PM and are ideal nights to invite friends and new students to SHIFT Student Ministries.

Small Groups

The best and most important place to connect is through a small-group community. Small groups for Junior High and High School meet Sunday Mornings during the 9:00am service, downstairs in the youth cafe during our small group seasons. Each group has a different emphasis, but all our groups are about connecting students together and taking that next step in their relationship with God. You can find our list of student's small groups here.
