Meet our ministry leaders.

Children's Ministry

Josh Burns director Josh leads GO Kids - the children's ministry of DCC - by providing energy, oversight, and lots of love to the huge team of trained volunteers that make this ministry possible. Josh graduated Cum Laude from John Brown University in 2013 with B.S. in Children and Family Studies. He also graduated with honors from Denver Seminary in 2016 with a M.A. in Counseling. After growing up in a biological and church family that consistently shared the gospel with him, he is thankful that he cannot remember a day without knowing Jesus as his savior. To relax, Josh loves playing euro-strategy tabletop games with his bride, Miriam, and friends. He also enjoys good movies, books, and podcasts.

Christina Ellis Assistant Christina leads at DCC by providing teaching, administrative, and safety support for the children's ministry.  She has been assisting and volunteering in multiple children's ministry roles for about 7 years, but her educational background is actually in business (Master's in Accounting and a CPA).  Christina is grateful that she has known the name of Jesus since she was in the nursery and began personally following Him when she was 12 years old after attending Vacation Bible School. For fun, Christina loves spending time with her husband, Jake, going on day trips into the mountains, attending concerts, and watching Alabama football.
