Team One November 10 thru November 18
Team Two November 17 thru November 25 (Thanksgiving Week)
WHERE & WHAT:
Team one- Nuevo Parisio (western coastal plains) This MAM village is a recently relocated village of refugees. The village is about 50 families, with extreme poverty, no electricity, no church facility or other basic human services. DCC will assist a medical clinic with Doctor Hugo, a dental clinic with Dr. Larry Willis, drill its first water well, install a solar system and storage tank. The team will likely show the Jesus Film and a Children’s Disney movie one evening using a generator and a bed sheet.
Team two- Paul (northwestern mountain village) This quiche village has been served a couple times by short term teams. 7 years ago, DCC and Littleton Bible Chapel drilled a water well which served the church and surrounding area for about 2 years. Due to geological conditions, the well collapsed and has failed. This team will return and hopefully drill a replacement well.
